M. J. Claire spends most of her time on the North Shore of Hawaii where she enjoys being surrounded by nature and a house full of animals. She has been writing novels for young adults since 2003. Her first YA novel, ‘Nightsweats in Bigelow Hollow’, is a fantasy romp through the world of Animelfs, into the Black Mountain where the evil Morgrath resides. Along the way, she meets Garth, a Lowlander who is travelling to rescue his family and Sargon, a wizard who has been sent to help them on their quest. Together, they battle Morgrath to save all those who are living under his dark cloud. ‘Nightsweats in Bigelow Hollow’ is scheduled for release in August, 2009.
